Patriotic Hairstyle, 4th of July Braided Star

Supplies:  brush/comb, 12 clear elastics, curling iron, 36" of ribbon

We had a few followers write in and ask us how to do this braided star. 

So
here you go.



It would have been much easier to do on Bella's long hair.  

But we did it on Lanie's hair to show you that it can be done on shorter hair.

Micronesian Girl~ Basket Weave French Braids

Happy 1st day of July!

Another beautiful Micronesian Girl braided hairstyle to share with you today~ and many more to follow in the days ahead!  This braided hairstyle seems to be a basket-weave French braid, but the center braid is made up of at least 5 strands and each braid is feathered at the bottom so they all are connected.  So pretty!

What a beautiful sun-shine-y day!  This morning I made a side mohawk French braid, and a poofy ponytail on the other side.  I braided my ponytail into a loose English braid and wrapped it up into a side bun.  Then I took the bottom length of the French braid and wrapped it around the base of my bigger side bun.  I held everything in place with bobby pins and a hair clip, added just to be sure nothing came tumbling down during the day :-)

Micronesian Girl~ Double Dutch Braids

Hey everyone,

It's hard to believe that June is almost over!  Here are some pictures of one of my friend's pretty braided hairstyles.  I love Dutch braids~ they are so interesting.  The braids in these pictures are especially neat and smooth!  My friend's teenage daughter is the one who braided her hair~ she did a good job!
