Braided Headband with Celebrity Ponytail

Have you seen the old Superman movies with Christopher Reeve?

They're classics.

I loved how he appeared so nerdy as Clark Kent, and then in seconds, he'd come bursting out of a phone booth as a super babe.

That's like this hair-do.  You can go from no style, to glamorous in minutes.

"Look!  It's a bird...it's a plane...  No!  It's a SUPER HAIR-DO!"

Jack O' Lantern Bun

This is our last Halloween hairstyle for the year....and it's a nostalgic one for me.

Because the first Halloween
costume I really remember from my childhood was in Kindergarten, when I dressed as a Jack O' Lantern.

My dad had sewn me a giant pumpkin suit that went from my neck to my thighs.  It had a big Jack O' Lantern face on the front, and my mom had painted a matching one on my

Spider Pigtails

We went to a Halloween Carnival last night.

There were carnival games for the kids and

a "Trunk-or-Treat" afterwards.

While I was taking the kids around, my husband was manning our trunk for Trick-or-Treaters.  When it was over, he handed me a nearly empty bag of candy.

"What happened to all the candy?" I asked.  "I bought a ton."

My husband gave me a sheepish look.  "Every time a

Ponytail -- Ghost Style

I have such fond memories of Halloween as a child.  And a big part of that excitement was planning the costumes.

My mom could sew, but it was my dad who always made our costumes.  He could make anything we dreamed up, from a perfect replica of the Sea Witch from The Little Mermaid, to Wonder Woman's American flag costume including a gold boomerang headband and bullet-deflecting wrist

Bohemian Twist with a Rope Twist

So every year around this time, my mom takes us window shopping to a few different stores.  We can't ever

buy anything.  It's just so she can see our eyes light up, and our ooh's and aah's over certain toys we see.  Then she keeps the ideas in mind when she's shopping online.

Well today I saw the CUTEST Frosty the Snowman, ever!  And he reminded me of the Frosty I got for one of my

Rope Twisted Flower Bun

I see trees of green...red roses too

I see 'em bloom...
for me and you

And I think to myself...what a wonderful world

That's how I feel when I wear this Flower Bun, like I've got one of nature's perfect creations blossoming from my head.

It's so simple, but comes out looking as unique as a rare flower.

I do explain how to rope braid in this video, but here's a link to the basics on

Lace Braid

If this braid were not already referred to as a "Lace Braid",

I'd call it the "Friendship braid".

Because it's the do I'm always styling on them.

My friends, my cousins, even my aunts ask me to play with their hair and show them new styles to try.

And I often go for this one.

It's simple, but looks really cool. So I always pull it out for the new look to show them and it's a hit

French Braided Spider's Web

We've got a fun HALLOWEEN hair-do for you...

A spider's web!

It's basically just two french braids, but with the elastics in the middle, it looks like the silky strands of a spider's web.

You can dress it up with a few plastic spiders for even more fun

or just wear it with a bow.

Happy Halloween

French Bow Headband

If you thought you were too old to wear bows in your hair, hold on to your

inner girly-girl and check out these ones.

They're made of your own hair,

(instead of colorful ribbons, lace, and ric rac bows you secretly wish you could still wear, but tell yourself you're too old for them).  Or maybe that's just me :)

But you're never too old for these bows.

You can wear them in a

Side-Swept Looped Fish Tail

When I was a little girl, we had an annual vacation/adventure to Mexico with my family,
my grandparents and my aunt and uncle's families.  But it wasn't the glamorous 5-star beach resort you may be picturing...instead, my dad would load up our camper and we'd drive to Mexico.

The drive would take days, but it was part of the fun.  We'd listen to our old battery-powered cassette player and

Inspiration/ Ebba Zingmark

Okay, first I probably have to write a huge alpology letter to all of my folowers who have waited this long for a post. I'm really sorry, but, school started and I've been busy (sorry, I always say that, but It's true). There's a lack of new tutorials so when I find one new I promise, I will post it right away. Untill then I think I should make this blog a little more personal, and post things like my new fashion inspirations. There are some amazing people all around the wold! And this girl is just the  beggining. But, these kinds of posts won't be posted like, all the time, just once a month (maybe). Take a look at these gorgeous girl and her amazing & original fashion sense:

EBBA ZINGMARK
She's a 16 year old girl from a little town in northern Sweden. And besides being a student she's also working as a fashion blogger at the swedish fashion-site modette.se. Visit it here. I love her blog because she is fearless when it comes to showing her style and she shows her complete personality throught her blog. Every post is well thought and I love to read them. She always creates original wearable combinations that I have never thought it could be put together! She is really talented!

“At most I get my inspiration from my friends and people around me, and because the styles of the persons who inspires me is very varieted my own style gets very mixed. I love looking a little bit fairytale, but still in an edgy way” – Ebba
