The last day of May :-) I tried a new hairstyle today with my little ponytail holders~ this look would be cute with pigtails, but since my hair is so long I made a low braided bun instead.
I believe this is the link you need if you want to follow my blog on Bloglovin. Otherwise you can sign up for email notification whenever I post new pictures. Thanks!
Here is my look for today~ I did double buns with a twist: One side with slanted lace braids, and the other side with a smooth low side-ponytail. I think I will definitely be doing this one again, as it's one of my favorite double bun looks so far!
I hope you are having a good Memorial Day week-end with your family and friends. I went to a triple wedding this morning and had a new dress to wear~ that happened to be my favorite color, hot pink :-) I tried to fix my hair in an extra fancy way since today was special, and here are some pictures of how it turned out!
Braided Bow Updo
The secret to this look~ a ton of bobby pins! There were so many I felt like a pin-cushion :-p
Wow, my LHC thread on the "Micronesian Girl Spiral Braid" has had over 45,000 views! A lot of the ladies have uploaded pictures of their own hair after doing this beautiful hairstyle on their own~ I admire anyone who can do that on their own head...such talent!
If you thought you were too old to wear bows in your hair, hold on to your
inner girly-girl and check out these ones.
They're made of your own hair.
Instead of colorful ribbons, lace, and ric-rac bows you secretly wish you could still wear, but think you're too old for (or maybe that's just me). These can be worn anytime.
First I made the little hair twists as accents and pinned them in place with bobby pins. Then I put all my hair into a low ponytail and braided my ponytail into two rope braids. I weaved and wrapped the two rope braids into a big bun, and pinned everything in place with even more bobby pins (I haven't taken my hair down yet or I would have counted how many bobby pins this look took :-)
My mom and sisters and sister-in-laws (and that makes 9 of us) always get together on the Saturday before or after Mother's Day and just have a day off. Because let's face it -- being a mother is the most wonderful and rewarding thing I have ever done, or ever will do. But it's also exhausting emotionally and physically.
Here are a few pictures of my look for today~ I was aiming for the criss-cross updo that Lilith Moon shows in one of her videos, but got this beehive updo with a flower accent instead...my low bun is actually a fishtail braid that I wound up and around until it ended up looking like this:

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a lovely week :-)
