Square Updo~ my look for today

Hi friends,

At first I wasn't going to take hair pictures, but after so many people told me how much they loved the way I fixed my hair I thought I'd better upload pictures after all!  My look for today was a sideways 4-strand French braid.  I looped the long braid into a flattened-out square bun and held everything in place with two hairclips and bobby pins.  This look has lasted all day long!

Happy New Year, everybody!

I hope your 2014 is off to a great start!  Today was a beautiful sunny, windy day.  I washed my hair last night~ starting the new year off clean and shining :-)  My hairstyle was a simple low bun with a Nancy Drew flip, and a couple of small side braids as accents.

Japanese Fan Bun

Hi everybody and Happy New Year!

I hope your 2014 is filled with many fun times and good memories.  This may be my last post in 2013~ a braided bun that ended up looking rather like a Japanese fan :-)  The jewel hairband across the top is held in place with bobby pins, and my bun is secured with more bobby pins and the small jeweled hairclip which looks like the handle of the fan.  Thank you so much for stopping by to view my pictures!

Hello and Merry Christmas,

It's hard to believe I only started my hair blog a year ago this month!  Thanks so much to everyone who follows my blog and checks to see when I upload new hair pictures.  I love sharing these photos with all of my online friends!  Another Christmas-theme hairstyle to show you today~ it is basically a side Dutch mohawk braid with a headband Dutch braid, brought together in a low side ponytail.  I braided my ponytail into one long Dutch braid and wound it up into a bun.  My hair is being held in place mostly by the larger red clip, the other small clips and the hair stick are added accents :-)
